Where It All Began
Seishin Pens was born from a need to improve my life. After dealing with PTSD, for years, I turned to woodworking as a quiet escape. Picking up a piece of wood and creating something beautiful gives me so much joy and peace.
At first, it wasn’t about business or design. It was about healing. Holding a raw piece of wood. Feeling its shape. Letting it become what it wanted to be. Knowing that I just created a beautiful pen was an incredible source of joy and pride.
What started as therapy became craft. Friends asked for pens. Then friends of friends. Before long, I realized I wasn’t just making pens, I was creating objects that connected people to memories, meaning, and story. Every piece of wood I turn into a pen is crafted from my heart and soul. My relationship with crafting pens brings me "Wa no seishin" or a spirit of harmony.
